This is a great book to read before Thanksgiving break to start a discussion on how everyone will celebrate Thanksgiving. A few activities to use after reading the book includes a sequencing events activity for the students to show comprehension and understanding of the story, practicing with syllables with the words that she swallowed, and placing the items she swallowed in alphabetical order.
